Sidney Airport Club Minutes
June 13, 2026
The meeting was called to Order at 12:08 pm by President Brian diLorenzo
PRESENT: Bob Basile, Eric Wallace, Brian diLorenzo, Jerry Foote, Robert Gravener, Marvin and Donna Ladner, Linda Seymour, Duane and Mary Spilde, Deb Liddle, Morgan McQuaid.
Congratulations to Morgan McQuaid on her graduation from Deposit High School and her plans to attend an Aviation school in Florida.
Minutes from the May meeting were read by Linda Seymour. Motion to accept was made by Bob and seconded by Donna. All in favor and carried.
Treasurer’s report for April 2026 was read by Marvin Ladner. Total cash on hand is $7,925.44. Motion to accept was made by Donna and seconded by Eric. All in favor and carried.
OLD BUSINESS
Deb gave an update on the lobby renovation. Paint samples will be decided on at the next meeting.
It was mentioned again that the flag pole and the airport sign frame needs to be painted.
The Fly-In Breakfast was very successful with an attendance count at approximately 282 people. Once again, all members went above and beyond making it a success!
NEW BUSINESS
Discussion on the Fall breakfast included following up with Rob Ray and his auto club for the car show in October.
Brian mentioned having members of the Auto Club attend a meeting to discuss what they need from us as a Club.
Also, it was mentioned that we have to be sure to order “real” maple syrup for the next breakfast! Better plastic utensils will also be purchased.
A motion was made to buy a new 80-100 cup coffee pot by Eric and seconded by Bob. All in favor and carried.
Brian brought up the suggestion of a parking area for people to sit and watch the airplanes. This will have to be discussed with the Village about the possibility of extending the fenced in area to be able to put a picnic table and parking area for cars. There was interest in this shown by several members.
The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 11th at noon.
Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Bob and seconded by Robert. All in favor.
